Keeping up with the Affinity Groups:

Jewish Cultural Club has been creating and hosting weekly meetings about various topics, like Challah and the holiday of Tu Bishvat. We have also led a morning meeting for International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Muslim Student Association (MSA) is a safe space for Muslims to come together as a supportive community in building an uplifting environment that benefits Muslim students as they guide through experiences at Byers. MSA also works to help put an end to inequities that Muslims endure and other issues that exist in Denver, and Byers that are harmful to the Muslim community, and it’s students.

GSA is planning to do a pronoun pin party for the whole school. We want the student body to feel more connected and want GSA to feel supported.

APISA has been working on connecting with the Byers community through events like the Spicy Ramen Challenge and Unity Fair. During our meeting times, we foster a supportive safe space to educate and address inequity related to our identities.

Womens Forum has been learning about Title IV in conjunction with our students leadership course. We have begun planning curriculum for the school in regards to this topic as well as discussing ways in which the school can become better in matters of sexual harassment.

This month BSA has mostly been planning for BSA week. We've managed to organize meetings with our member to clarify and actualize what we want to celebrate. We've also managed to prep resources for the events we're planning.

HLSA has been planning for 5 de Mayo (occurring at the end of April) and fundraiser (occurring in April)
Exceptional Students Alliance was created!
